Committees

The foundation is always looking for individuals interested in serving on our committees. You may fill out an application online or call us at 847-593-4090 for more information.

Executive
Jim Christie, Chairperson

The Executive Committee is responsible for coordinating strategic planning. The executive committee sets fundraising goals. The committee is also responsible for administrative policies and documents and maintains foundation processes and procedures.

Community Outreach
Ray Hardtke, Chairperson

The Community Outreach Committee performs both marketing and public relations activities and maintains our volunteer and sponsorship database. This subcommittee also actively recruits new directors and volunteers.

Fundraising

This committee determines effective fundraising methods? and recommends fundraising events based on detailed financial projections.

Grant Disbursements
open

The Grant Disbursements Committee evaluates all grant requests in a blind process following stringent criteria aligned with the foundation’s mission. Recommendations are then made to the Board of Directors. This subcommittee conducts an annual review of its processes and proceduress.

Grant Writing
Andy Kidwell, Chairperson

The Grant Writing Committee matches up external grants with identified district needs. This committee works with principals and staff to complete and submit grants to outside organizations.
